The Food&Wine Restaurant of the Year Awards return for 2021

Event update: Food&Wine Restaurant of the Year awards

The Food&Wine Restaurant of the Year Awards will now take place at the InterContinental Hotel in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 on Sunday November 7.

Under the government’s altered reopening plan for society, physical distancing must still be maintained between tables at events. Given that fact, as well as the extremely strong demand there has been for tickets, we have taken the decision to move the event to a larger venue.

The awards will now take place at the InterContinental Hotel in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. Arrivals will be from 2.30pm for pre-lunch drinks, followed by the awards ceremony and lunch at 3.30pm.

Only ticket holders will be admitted and all ticket holders must bring proof of full vaccination and photo identification.

A NOTE FROM THE EDITOR

Gillian Nelis

Editor, Food&Wine magazine

It gives me immense pleasure to update you on our plans for the 2021 Food&Wine Restaurant of the Year awards. When Food&Wine magazine became part of the Business Post Media Group in late 2019, the awards were a key priority, as was bringing the title back into print.

While we achieved the latter, with Food&Wine returning as a free monthly magazine with the Business Post, it is only now, as we see light at the end of the pandemic tunnel, that we can again turn our minds to the awards.

The awards will take place at the InterContinental Hotel in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. Arrivals will be from 2.30pm for pre-lunch drinks, followed by the awards ceremony and lunch at 3.30pm.

Our goal is simple: to pay tribute to the Irish food and drink sector after what has been a stressful and traumatic time, and to recognise the incredible innovation shown by restaurateurs, hoteliers and food producers during the pandemic.

We will gather safely, with a focus on reconnecting with our friends and colleagues over some fantastic food and wine.

I hope to see you there.
